Job summary

Yokogawa in Bahrain seeks a senior software engineer to advance the SCM system using modern web technologies and enterprise integrations. You will design, develop, and deploy features, integrate with SAP SharePoint and Power BI, and support digital transformation initiatives.

The role requires 8–10 years of software development experience, strong knowledge of .NET and frontend technologies, and a focus on secure, reliable solutions within an industrial automation context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or related field.
• 8–10 years of software development experience.
• Experience with enterprise applications, workflow systems, SQL migration, ERP, or SCM is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy new features and enhancements for the existing SCM system, including React.js, Angular, .NET 8 / .NET Core, ASP.NET Core Web API, MS SQL, Azure, SAP S4/Hana integration, data analytics and dashboards.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide L1/L2 application support and coordinate with vendors for L3/L4 support.
• Develop integrations with SAP, SharePoint, Power BI, and other enterprise systems.
• Support SCM migration and digital transformation initiatives.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and management reports.
• Ensure cybersecurity compliance, secure coding practices, and system reliability.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.
• Deliver user training and maintain technical documentation.
• Additional responsibilities: support digital transformation initiatives and internal tool development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy new features and enhancements for the existing SCM system, the knowledge on React.js, angular, .NET 8 / .NET Core, ASP.NET Core Web API, Microsoft SQL DB, Microsoft Azure, SAP S4/Hana Integration, Data Analytics and Dashboard Development, Software Engineering Practices (example: Agile / Scrum Methodology)


• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.


• Provide L1/L2 application support and coordinate with vendors for L3/L4 support.


• Develop integrations with SAP, SharePoint, Power BI, and other enterprise systems.


• Support SCM migration and digital transformation initiatives.


• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and management reports.


• Ensure cybersecurity compliance, secure coding practices, and system reliability.


• Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.


• Deliver user training and maintain technical documentation.

Additional Responsibilities: Support digital transformation initiatives and participate in development of new business applications and internal tools. Contribute to software architecture and technology evaluations. Support Yokogawa enterprise application strategy and modernization roadmap. Provide technical leadership for future Internal system implementation and migration projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.


• Minimum 8–10 years of software development experience.


• Experience with enterprise applications, workflow systems, SQL migration, ERP, or SCM is mandatory.
