Job summary

Yokogawa seeks a technical focal point for service sales and technical support within East Africa to support and maintain Yokogawa DCS systems. The role includes on-site engineering, customer training, and sales collaboration to grow service business across Tanzania and Uganda.

Candidates should have a strong background in industrial automation, experience with DCS/PLC/SCADA, and hands-on Yokogawa product knowledge. Willingness to travel within East Africa is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Instrumentation/Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 6–12 years of experience in industrial automation/Instrumentation.
• Minimum 2 years in service & sales on DCS/PLC, SCADA, Field Instruments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service and sales support and maintenance visits to East Africa customers, primarily on Yokogawa DCS control system.
• Drive sales and service business support in East Africa.
• Perform site visits in East Africa (Tanzania & Uganda) to identify and generate new prospects.

Purpose of the function

The selected candidate will be the technical focal point with existing and potential Yokogawa customers for Service sales and technical support.

Responsibilities of the job

• To provide technical service and sales support and maintenance visits to East Africa customers primarily on Yokogawa DCS control system
• To drive sales and service business support in East Africa
• To perform site visits within East Africa, mainly in Tanzania & Uganda, to identify and generate new prospects.
• Providing training/demo to customer on Yokogawa Products

Required skills, competencies, qualifications

Qualifications

1. Candidates should be B.E. or B.Tech. degree qualified, specialized in Electronics/Instrumentation/Chemical Engineering

2. Shall have 6-12 years of experience in Industrial automation and/or Instrumentation related works such as design, engineering, commissioning

3. Minimum 2 years of service & sales role experience on DCS/PLC, SCADA, Field Instruments

Skills & Competencies

1. Must be conversant with at least 2 DCS/PLC and SCADA system

2. Hands on experience on Yokogawa Products is highly preferred

3. Knowledge on Field instruments and analyzers shall be an added advantage
