Job summary

Bahrain Airport Services is seeking an experienced Internal Audit Leader to direct a team of Internal Auditors, design audit programs, assess financial risks, and deliver detailed reports with actionable recommendations. You will ensure compliance with IPPF, drive quality improvements, and coordinate follow-up actions with stakeholders.

The role requires strong English communication, CPA or equivalent, and 5 years of audit experience, including 3 in professional practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 5 years of audit experience, including at least 3 years in a reputable accounting practice.
• Professional Accounting Qualification CPA or equivalent.
• Knowledge of IPPF standards and internal audit practices.
• High proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong technical audit, project management, risk and quality skills.
• Excellent influencing, facilitation, communication, analytical and report-writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct the work of assigned Internal Auditors and oversee audit tasks.
• Develop detailed audit programs, plan tests, and define procedures.
• Assess inherent risks and prepare a risk/control matrix for the audit program.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports with findings and actionable recommendations.
• Conduct follow-up audits to verify corrective actions and flag investigations as needed.
• Perform internal quality reviews in line with IPPF and promote continuous improvement.
• Represent the department professionally and keep abreast of local and international developments in Internal Audit.
