Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer to lead planning, design and delivery of water, wastewater, and surface water drainage projects in Bahrain. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, using Bentley WaterGEMS/SewerGEMS and Civil 3D to develop solutions that meet local authority requirements and client needs.

The role requires 12–15 years of relevant experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and Chartered status or active pursuit of chartership; Bahrain CRPEP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 12–15 years of water infrastructure experience.
• Chartered Engineer or actively working towards chartership.
• Experience with local authority requirements is desirable.

Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer with 12-15 years of experience in water infrastructure engineering within a multidisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, analysis, and delivery of water, wastewater, and surface water drainage infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyse water supply, wastewater, and stormwater drainage networks.
• Perform hydraulic modelling using Bentley WaterGEMS and SewerGEMS.
• Prepare engineering calculations, design drawings, technical reports, and specifications.
• Develop infrastructure designs using Civil 3D.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, client requirements, and regulations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and existing utility providers.
• Liaise with local authorities and manage permit applications and design approvals.
• Provide technical support during construction, inspections, and testing.
• Assist with tender preparation, technical proposals, and project documentation.
• Manage assigned tasks independently while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Chartered Civil Engineer or actively working towards professional chartership.
• 12-15 years of relevant experience in water infrastructure engineering.
• Proven experience in water supply, wastewater, and/or surface water drainage design.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering consultancy or project delivery teams.
• Middle East project experience and familiarity with local authority requirements are desirable.
• Candidates with experience in Bahrain must hold the required CRPEP registration.
