Job summary

The Emirates Group in Bahrain is seeking a Cargo Operations professional to monitor and oversee cargo handling, ensuring EK standards and efficient space utilisation. Responsibilities include processing reservations, resolving cargo issues, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in airline/cargo, DG knowledge, and strong PC skills with English fluency. Right to work in Bahrain is required.

Qualifications

• GCSE level or equivalent education.
• 3+ years in Airline/Cargo Operations, incl. 2+ years as Cargo Agent.
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations; DG certificate preferred.
• Knowledge of Weight & Balance procedures and Live Animal Regulation.
• PC skills including Microsoft Word/Excel/E-mail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee GHA service to EK standards, including space optimisation and load control.
• Update flight handling reports and monitor irregularities.
• Process cargo reservations and resolve queries/claims escalating as needed.
• Provide coaching to Cargo Agents and support operational duties as directed.
• Ensure accurate cargo documentation and adherence to local regulations.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVE AREAS MAXIMUM OF 10

Educated to at least GCSE standard or equivalent. A minimum of 3 years experience in an Airline / Cargo Operations environment, including at least 2 years as a Cargo Agent (or equivalent). Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations and ideally hold a DG certificate. Knowledge of Weight & Balance procedures and Live Animal Regulation. PC based skills including Microsoft Word/ Excel/ E-mail. Fluency in English and the language of the country you are working is essential.
