Job summary

FamilyFirst Qatar is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Muharraq, Bahrain. The role involves managing day-to-day financial activities, preparing reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will oversee financial operations, assist with audits, and support cash flow management. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting, 5+ years of experience, proficiency in Excel and SAP/QuickBooks, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP/QuickBooks.
• Knowledge of local Bahrain finance regulations.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the company’s financial operations.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of tax filings.
• Monitor cash flow and maintain cash management processes.
• Review and analyze budget variances.
• Develop and implement internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
• Collaborate with external auditors as needed.
