We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join a leading department store in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial management and will play a key role in overseeing accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role is essential to ensuring financial integrity, operational efficiency, and strong fiscal governance across the business.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Support in the preparation and management of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Manage financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Review and improve internal financial controls and processes.
  • Liaise with department heads to align financial planning with operational needs.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial insights and recommendations to management.
  • Assist in inventory valuation and cost control analysis.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and reporting accuracy.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within retail or FMCG sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
