Job summary

ACCA Careers seeks a competent accountant to oversee daily financial operations in Seef, Bahrain. You will handle ledgers, payroll, AP/AR, and system entries using Odoo ERP, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and a strong attention to detail. You will work independently, perform month-end closings, and coordinate with auditors and tax filings as part of a dynamic hospitality/restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience with Odoo ERP.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently without close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
• Record and review accounting transactions using Odoo ERP.
• Manage staff Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Perform regular bank, cash, and other account reconciliations.
• Handle month-end closing and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Monitor revenues, expenses, cash collections, and daily financial transactions.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for management.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide required information and documentation.
• Support VAT filings and ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and support timely resolution.
• Maintain proper documentation and adherence to internal accounting controls.
