Job summary

Grant Thornton Bahrain seeks a Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting in a Seef-based role. You will handle financial records, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end closing using Odoo ERP.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, demonstrates precision, and can work independently while coordinating with auditors and VAT filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience with Odoo ERP.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently without close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
• Record and review transactions using Odoo ERP.
• Manage staff Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Perform regular bank, cash, and other account reconciliations.
• Handle month-end closing and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Monitor revenues, expenses, cash collections, and daily financial transactions.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for management.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide required information and documentation.
• Support VAT filings and ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and support timely resolution.
• Maintain proper documentation and adherence to internal accounting controls.
