Job summary

Oasis Wellness Oman is seeking a skilled Mason for our team in Isa Town, Bahrain. The role involves constructing and repairing structures with brick and stone, measuring and cutting materials, and laying foundations according to drawings. The candidate should have 3+ years of Mason experience, be physically fit, and able to work independently or in a team.

Preference for experience with traditional masonry and various stones. Accommodation, visa, and a ticket are provided.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a Mason.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials.
• Familiarity with traditional masonry techniques is preferred.
• Experience working with different types of stone is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or drawings.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut materials to fit specific dimensions
• Lay out patterns or foundations according to blueprints or drawings
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning them and adding layers of mortar or other adhesives
• Place bricks, stones or other materials according to the designed pattern
• Use tools such as hammers, chisels, levels, trowels and jointers to shape stones or bricks
• Repair or replace damaged bricks or stones
• Work with different types of stone such as marble, granite or limestone
• Follow safety standards while working on construction sites
