The main purpose of the position is to handle the installation, modifications, and maintenance of the SCADA System and PLC. The candidate will be responsible for the overall project by leading the contract team and reporting directly to the Ministry Engineer. They will oversee the control and performance of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, repair, and maintain SCADA and PLC systems and associated field instruments and low voltage switchgear at client sites.
- Perform programming and troubleshooting in PLCs and SCADA monitors, supervise project team activities, and participate in diagnosing system failures.
- Support the Project Manager in generating revenue from maintenance and value-added services.
- Maintain systems under annual maintenance contracts through planned preventive and corrective activities.
- Coordinate daily with the client’s representative and document maintenance activities.
- Respond to emergency call-outs and repairs.
- Support 24x7 shift work for critical maintenance solutions.
Knowledge:
- Proficient in SCADA programming, PLC interfacing, troubleshooting, and modifications (Schneider, ABB, Siemens).
- Experience in water and wastewater treatment plants is advantageous.
- Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
Skills:
- Strong site and customer management skills.
- Ability to manage a team of technicians and monitor maintenance schedules.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance, shutdown, and breakdown procedures.
- Effective communication skills.
Experience:
- 4-8 years of hands-on experience in SCADA/PLC systems, engineering, or maintenance.
- Preference for experience with National Instruments LabVIEW or Lookout SCADA; certification is a plus.
