The Company

Tier 1 main contractor operating across the Middle East, responsible for successfully delivering iconic building and infrastructure projects over the past 30 years.

Position

The QA/QC Manager will ensure construction projects meet quality standards by implementing and overseeing quality management systems, developing control plans, conducting inspections and managing documentation and non-conforming work. This role requires developing processes to guarantee compliance with project specifications, regulations while also managing the quality team and collaborating with project stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Quality Plans: Create and implement the overall Quality Management System (QMS) and specific Quality Control (QC) plans for projects to ensure consistent quality.
  • Oversee Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections and audits at various stages of construction to verify adherence to specifications and standards.
  • Document Control: Establish and maintain a system for coding and filing all project documents, reports, and quality records.
  • Manage Non-Compliance: Identify, track, and facilitate the resolution of deficiencies or non-conforming work identified during inspections.
  • Team and Resource Management: Supervise quality control personnel, allocate resources effectively, and evaluate the qualifications of staff, mainly for (QA/QC inspectors, document controllers and MACs).
  • Collaboration and Reporting: Work with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to coordinate quality efforts and report on quality status and potential issues.
  • Subcontractor Quality: Assist in managing the quality performance of subcontractors, including evaluating their plans and implementing corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure Compliance: Verify that all construction activities, including of MACs comply with project specifications, industry codes, and relevant regulations.
