Principal Technical Service Engineer, Clean Fuels

The role and impact

This role is part of TS&S Clean Fuels in HTME and will be a Subject Matter Expert in Resid catalyst and market. The focus is in Resid Market in MECA region but will also support other reqional office on technical tasks and enhancing the technical competency of TS&S engineers, balancing technical and commercial approach.

The purpose of this role is to provide guidance and training to any TS&S engineers identified by the TS&S manager to perform tasks (both office and onsite) such as technical proposals, performance evaluation reports, troubleshooting activities with high quality for designated region(s) in alignment with the requirement of the regional TS&S manager based on business goals. Sowill still be performing regular TS&S tasks for HTME in agreement with TS&S manager.

What you’ll bring

To be the Subject Matter Expert in Resid catalysts and market to secure Resid catalyst sales especially in MECA region by preparing the technical proposal and providing technical support to customers.

• To provide guidance and training to TS&S engineers identified by the TS&S manager to perform tasks (both office and onsite) such as technical proposals, performance evaluation reports, troubleshooting activities, loading and start-up.
• To collaborate with other department such as catalyst PLM and R&D (if needed) to align the technical expertise within organizations and inform same within region(s) when applicable.
• To support AMs for the technical meeting with customers
• To provide a risk assessment for guarantees mentioned in technical proposals to AM.
• Support TS&S manager with mid-long terms development tasks of the region.
• Participate actively in knowledge sharing.

Competencies

• Very good understanding of catalyst, grading, process, calculation tools for Resid catalyst
• Very good understanding on the Resid catalyst market and operating conditions in Middle East
• Acts with a clear sense of ownership and able to conduct tasks without supervision by applying established procedures, standards and following best practices.
• Able to balance risks and take technical decisions independently based on calculations and experience.
• Have a very good understanding of Topsoe safety policy, as well as practicing a safety behavior.
• Must have good communication, presentation, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
