Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a skilled Production Technician to ensure machine shop operations are completed on time and to standard while adhering to safety and company procedures. The role emphasizes cleanliness, waste reduction, and accurate documentation across shifts.

Applicants should have apprentice training or equivalent practical experience, with knowledge of machine shop processes, health and safety, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained and/or relevant experience in related industry with knowledge of industry practices & standards.
• Knowledge of machine shop processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements including risk assessments and manual handling.
• Computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned workload and ensure on-time delivery of tasks.
• Keep work area clean and safe per 5S/Lean initiatives and health & safety requirements.
• Reduce waste in time and materials.
• Operate and maintain assigned equipment; report status to supervisor.
• Complete route cards and documentation to standard.
