Job summary

NASS Group & Corporation seeks a Plumbing Engineer to design, plan, coordinate, and oversee plumbing systems for construction projects in Bahrain. The role ensures water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems are designed and installed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with codes and project requirements.

You will work closely with design, construction, and site teams to deliver projects on time, review drawings and submissions, perform pipe sizing calculations, and conduct regular site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7-10 years of plumbing engineering experience in construction.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, standards, and practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant software; ability to review drawings and submittals.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop plumbing systems (water supply, drainage, sanitary).
• Prepare detailed layouts, calculations, drawings, specifications, and material schedules.
• Perform pipe sizing, flow, pressure, and system capacity calculations.

Role Summary

The Plumbing Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, coordinating, and overseeing plumbing systems for construction projects. The role ensures that water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems are designed and installed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. The Plumbing Engineer will work closely with design, construction, and site teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, sanitary, and related systems


• Prepare detailed plumbing layouts, calculations, drawings, specifications, and material schedules using CAD and relevant engineering software


• Carry out calculations for pipe sizing, flow rates, pressure requirements, and system capacities


• Ensure plumbing designs and installations comply with applicable local regulations, codes, standards, and project specifications


• Coordinate plumbing designs with architectural, mechanical, civil, electrical, and structural requirements


• Review drawings and technical documents to identify design and coordination issues


• Conduct regular site visits to monitor installation progress, quality, and compliance with approved designs


• Inspect completed works and ensure installations meet the required technical and quality standards


• Identify, investigate, and resolve technical issues arising during construction and installation


• Provide technical guidance and support to site teams, subcontractors, and junior engineers


• Review material submittals, shop drawings, and technical submissions related to plumbing works


• Assist with project cost estimates, material requirements, and budget monitoring


• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and proper execution of plumbing works


• Maintain accurate engineering and project documentation


• Ensure works are completed within the agreed project programme and in accordance with relevant standards


• Perform other duties and assignments as directed by the Division Manager, Project Manager, or Mechanical Lead

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering


• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in plumbing engineering, preferably within the construction industry


• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, water supply, drainage, and sanitary installations


• Good knowledge of applicable plumbing codes, standards, specifications, and construction practices


• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant engineering/design software


• Experience in reviewing technical drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and material submittals


• Strong problem-solving, coordination, and technical communication skills


• Ability to work effectively with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety


• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
