Job summary

NASS Group & Corporation is seeking a motivated Graduate Engineer to join our project team in Bahrain. You will contribute to construction, heritage, and restoration projects, gaining hands-on experience in engineering, site supervision, planning, coordination, quality, and safety.

Work closely with senior engineers, subcontractors, and consultants while developing technical skills and professional growth in a dynamic project environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering; fresh graduate or 0–2 years' experience.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site operations.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review restoration methodologies, materials, construction techniques, and site operations.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and related project documentation.
  • Monitor site activities for compliance with drawings, specs and method statements.
  • Prepare daily progress reports and monitor weekly programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, RFIs, site changes, and other project documentation.
  • Support implementation of project quality and safety standards.

Job description

Role Summary

We are looking for a motivated Graduate Engineer to join our project team and support the successful execution of construction, heritage, and restoration projects. The role will provide hands-on experience across engineering, site supervision, planning, coordination, quality, and safety activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders while developing strong technical and professional skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and become familiar with restoration methodologies, materials, construction techniques, and site operations
  • Review structural, architectural, shop drawings, specifications, and related project documentation
  • Monitor site activities to ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements
  • Monitor daily activities of subcontractors and labour teams and prepare daily progress reports
  • Monitor weekly work programs and ensure activities are progressing according to the project schedule
  • Spend approximately 50% of working time on site to monitor and review site operations
  • Inspect materials, workmanship, and completed works to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Support the implementation of project quality and safety standards
  • Follow and promote site safety procedures, report unsafe practices, and ensure appropriate PPE is used
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, supervisors, consultants, suppliers, and other project stakeholders
  • Track labour, materials, and completed work quantities
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals, RFIs, site changes, and other project documentation
  • Develop an understanding of project billing procedures and commercial aspects
  • Perform other engineering and project-related assignments as directed by the Project Director
Qualifications, Skill And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Fresh graduate or 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site operations
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Basic understanding of project management principles
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or similar engineering/design software
  • Familiarity with project planning tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project is an advantage
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good time-management and organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn, develop, and adapt in a fast-paced project environment
