Job summary

Nordic Holdings in Manama is seeking a skilled Plumber for a full-time, on-site role at our hotel and resort properties. The successful candidate will maintain water supply and drainage systems, respond to leaks, and perform preventive maintenance across guest rooms, kitchens, and public areas.

You will install and repair fixtures, monitor water quality and pressure, comply with local codes, and coordinate with the engineering team to ensure guest comfort and safe operation of all plumbing

Responsibilities

• Routine Maintenance & Inspections: Conduct regular plumbing system inspections, valves, water heaters, and fixtures to prevent failures.
• Water Quality & Pressure: Monitor and adjust water pressure, temperatures, and chlorine levels to meet safety and guest comfort standards.
• Emergency Response & Troubleshooting: Respond to leaks, clogged drains, and drainage issues in guest areas with minimal disruption.
• Equipment & Infrastructure: Install, repair, or replace toilets, sinks, baths, showers, faucets, and piping (copper, PVC, cast-iron).
• Safety, Compliance & Administration: Adhere to local plumbing codes, track parts and tools, and log work orders.

Plumbers in the hotel and resort industry maintain and repair water supply, drainage, sewage, and gas systems. They respond to emergency leaks, unclog drains, and execute Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) across guest rooms, public spaces, kitchens, and central utility plants to ensure a seamless guest experience. Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Routine Maintenance & Inspections Preventive Maintenance (PPM): Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems, valves, water heaters, and pool/spa filtration components to prevent unexpected failures. [1, 2, 3] Water Quality & Pressure: Monitor and adjust water pressure, chlorine levels, and water temperatures (e.g., in boilers and domestic hot water systems) to meet safety codes and guest comfort standards. • Emergency Response & Troubleshooting Guest Areas: Respond promptly to leaks, overflowing toilets, and drainage issues in guest rooms, ensuring repairs are completed discreetly with minimal disruption to the guest. [1, 2] Back-of-House: Troubleshoot plumbing issues in heavily used zones like the main kitchen, employee locker rooms, laundry facilities, and staff dining areas. [1]
• Equipment & Infrastructure Fixtures & Appliances: Install, repair, or replace toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and faucets. Specialized Systems: Maintain specialized resort assets like swimming pools, spas, sauna steam generators, and LP gas lines. Pipework: Repair and install copper, PVC, and cast-iron piping systems. • Safety, Compliance & Administration Compliance: Ensure all repairs and installations strictly adhere to local public health and plumbing codes.
