Job summary

Braxtone Group is seeking a Placement Officer for Consumer Lines in Bahrain to manage the full placement cycle for retail insurance products. The role links telesales, insurers, and operations to ensure accurate and timely placements, quotations, and renewals.

You will review, negotiate, and issue policies while maintaining compliance with underwriting standards and PDPL/CBB guidelines. English fluency is required, Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 2–4 years in insurance operations or placement.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Strong coordination, multitasking, and documentation accuracy.

Job description

The Placement Officer for Consumer Lines is responsible for the complete end-to-end placement process of individual (retail) insurance products such as Motor, Home, Travel, and other consumer insurance lines. This includes managing quotations, negotiations, policy issuance, renewals, endorsements, and ensuring compliance with underwriting and operational standards.

The role acts as the key link between telesales, insurers, and the internal operations team to guarantee smooth, accurate, and timely placement of all consumer insurance policies

Key Responsibilities:
1. Quotation and Placement Management
  • Receive and review all lead submissions and closed deals from telesales and verify completeness of required information.
  • Obtain quotations from approved insurers according to underwriting guidelines and client requirements.
  • Compare quotations based on coverage, pricing, and insurer performance to support sales teams to recommend the best option for the customer.
  • Negotiate terms, premiums, and special conditions with insurers to secure optimal cover.
  • Confirm placement, prepare cover confirmation, and ensure policy documents are issued correctly and on time.
2. Policy Administration and Documentation
  • Ensure all policies (new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations) are accurately processed in the system.
  • Review policy schedules, certificates, and wordings for accuracy and compliance before releasing to clients.
  • Coordinate with insurers for any discrepancies, corrections, or reissuance.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all policy transactions within the broker management system (CRM, ERP, etc).
  • Support compliance with PDPL, CBB, and company data handling procedures.
3. Renewal Management
  • Review renewal lists and ensure renewal quotations are received from insurers 45 days before expiry.
  • Compare renewal terms vs. prior year coverage and pricing to ensure competitiveness.
  • Coordinate with telesales or relationship managers to finalize renewal placements.
  • Maintain renewal tracker to ensure no lapse in coverage and report renewals progress weekly.
4. Insurer and Product Relations
  • Maintain strong working relationships with insurer underwriting and operations teams.
  • Track insurer response times, turnaround quality, and maintain placement performance metrics.
  • Support product development and new insurer onboarding by providing market feedback.
  • Stay updated on insurer product offerings, coverage updates, and special promotions.
5. Operational Excellence and Compliance
  • Ensure all placements follow company standard policies and procedures, authorities, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal audits, compliance checks, and reconciliations related to premium collection and policy issuance.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve efficiency and data accuracy in placement workflows.
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement programs.
