Overview

Amana Healthcare, brought to you by M42 and Mumtalakat, is pleased to announce the first Amana Healthcare facility in Bahrain, located in Al Jasra will open in late 2025. This world-class hospital will provide long-term care and post-acute rehabilitation services.

Amana Healthcare provides long-term care for adult patients with complex medical needs in an inpatient setting. Multidisciplinary care will be provided though intensive care unit (ICU) physicians, geriatricians, nurses, therapists, and a patient & family experience team who work collaboratively to enhance the quality of life for those patients. It also offers specialized rehabilitation for individuals who require inpatient rehabilitation following a life-altering event, such as stroke, brain injury, spine injury, joint replacement, or amputation.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmaceutical team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will support licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with all local healthcare regulations. This role requires precision, discretion, and a strong understanding of pharmaceutical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain patient records, prescription data, and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Measure, mix, label, and record dosages as directed
  • Manage inventory of pharmaceutical supplies, place orders, and check deliveries
  • Ensure all medications are stored properly and securely
  • Offer front-line customer service, answering patient queries under pharmacist supervision
  • Comply with Bahrain’s Ministry of Health (MOH) pharmaceutical regulations
  • Support pharmacists in preparing insurance paperwork and processing billing

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certification in Pharmacy Technician program (recognized by MOH Bahrain)
  • Valid license National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) in Bahrain
  • Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience preferred
  • Familiarity with pharmacy management systems/software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus
