Job summary

ClericaPoint in Al-Malikiyah Bahrain is seeking a Part-Time Librarian to join the public library team. You will provide excellent customer service to patrons, manage the library's collection, and assist with administrative tasks.

The role requires strong organization, knowledge of cataloging, and the ability to work with the public. Flex hours are offered, and the position pays 1200 USD per month with no accommodation or visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred.
• Previous library experience preferred.
• Proficiency with cataloging systems and database management.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service to patrons, including book recommendations and locating materials.
• Manage the circulation desk: check in/out materials, collect fines, issue library cards.
• Maintain and organize the library collection by shelving and shelving returned items and ensuring proper cataloging.
• Assist with collection development by recommending new materials for purchase.
• Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy of the library's collection.
• Assist with organizing and promoting library programs and events.
• Perform basic administrative tasks such as answering calls, responding to emails, and updating patron records.
