Job summary

Arab Banking Corporation is seeking a diligent professional to ensure service standards and manage risks through clerical, reconciliation, data administration and internal controls duties. You will support on-time project delivery, identify process improvements, and assist with IT system evaluations and testing.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Banking/Accounting or Risk Management and 2–3 years in Risk Management or related areas. Flexibility for weekend backups is expected.

Job description

Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure service standards are achieved and risks managed by carrying out a range of demanding clerical, data input, reconciliation, data administration and internal controls monitoring duties. Deliver accurate and timely services to clients, Bank ABC units and other departments in line with agreed service standards.

Support and ensure the on‑time and accurate delivery of all requested projects and initiatives, ensuring they remain within specification and budgeted cost.

Identify and suggest improvements to existing processes, procedures and systems, and aid in the evaluation and implementation of new or upgraded IT systems, including robust user testing.

Provide back‑up cover and business support during weekends, bank holidays and other times when the Bank is normally closed in Bahrain but markets are open elsewhere.

Key Knowledge & Skills

• Basic knowledge of accounting standards for reconciliations and Treasury products.
• Strong understanding of Wholesale Treasury and/or Islamic Banking products, services and operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (including Visio) and relevant systems for data extraction and reporting.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a clear, concise, jargon‑free style.
• Capacity to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently under pressure.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Business or Risk Management.

Experience: 2‑3 years in Risk Management, Reconciliations, SWIFT Administration or Internal Audit.
