Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding Bahrain seeks an OCC Specialist to execute plans implementing the OFR pricing strategy, respond to pricing enquiries, and maintain local tariffs. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and more than 4 years of experience in logistics.

You will support RFQ development, deliver shipment documentation, and help optimize carrier pricing. You will build relationships with customers and airlines, prepare performance reports, and guide less-experienced team members while

Responsibilities

• Execute plans to implement the OFR pricing strategy
• Respond to pricing enquiries quickly and competitively
• Monitor and update local tariffs accurately
• Develop RFQ guidance and lead launch calls for high-priority RFQs
• Deliver day-to-day shipment documentation and support tender development
• Maintain databases to enable fast network queries
• Build relationships with customers and airlines
• Prepare carrier performance reports and reviews
• Identify opportunities to improve services and negotiate rates
• Stay updated on new solutions, services and lane developments
• Provide guidance to less experienced team members

In this OCC Specialist position

• Execute plans and processes to implement the OFR pricing strategy
• Respond to pricing enquiries in an efficient and competitive manner
• Ensure the timely monitoring and accurate updating of local tariffs
• Ensure RFQ development, particularly for high priority RFQs provide detailed guidance and for critical RFQs conduct launch calls
• Deliver day-to-day shipment documentation for freight forwarding, assist in development of tenders and ensure on-time submission on relevant documents
• Develop and maintain databases with specific information to enable quick responses to specific network queries
• Build and secure business relationships with customers and airlines
• Prepare carrier performance reports and reviews
• Identify opportunities to enhance services and processes to secure cost-effective and competitive prices and negotiate competitive rates with airline suppliers while meeting desired service specifications and transit time targets
• Understand recent developments of new solutions, services, lane and traffic development
• Provide support on issues and problems from less experienced/new team members, provide direction and guidance as needed
• Study and resolve issues in day-to-day delivery and implement practices for OFR pricing focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency
