The Canadian School Bahrain is a not-for-profit, private international school offering the British Columbia, Canada curriculum.

The school will implement a whole-child approach to learning that enhances each student's academic, social, physical, emotional, and educational needs.

British Columbia-certified teachers will collaborate with Bahraini-certified teachers for Social Studies, Citizenship, Moral Studies, and Arabic Language to teach this integrated educational program.

The core competencies focus on the intellectual, personal, and social skills essential for success beyond school. B.C. identifies three core competencies:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Education
• Eligibility to apply for a British Columbia Teaching Certificate (applications from Canadian provinces are welcome)
• Possession of a British Columbia teaching certificate, or a certificate from another Canadian province, or a foreign English-speaking jurisdiction that meets the British Columbia Teachers Regulation Branch requirements (e.g., 5-year undergraduate degree in English and a teaching certificate)
• Energetic, creative, and resilient to meet the challenges of a quickly growing school
• Understanding of personalized learning and assessment approaches
• Training or familiarity with inquiry-based teaching and learning
• Experience in classroom teaching with integrated learning methods (beyond subject-specific teaching)
• Knowledge of 21st-century teaching and learning practices
