MENAT and SSA APM Sales and Business Development Manager

The APM MENAT and SSA Digital Sales and Business Development Manager will report to the APM Global Sales Leader and drive growth in APM and Digital Services within the region, collaborating with the Grid Automation Sales Director and regional sales teams. This role focuses on pipeline development, achieving sales targets, and deploying the APM Go-to-Market strategy, supported by the APM central team for expertise, demonstrations, and tendering.

APM is a growing business within Grid Solutions, enabling utilities and grid operators to transition from time-based to condition-based maintenance through digital solutions. The portfolio includes an Enterprise APM platform, Digital Field Inspection, Online Monitoring, Diagnostic Sensors, and telecom solutions. Backed by a global team spanning Sales, R&D, Product, and Operations, GE Grid Solutions leads this field with extensive global project experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Achieve the sales target and business development growth for Asset Performance Management and digital solutions within the organization.
  • Develop business opportunities and conduct campaigns to win Digital Services focused on the Asset Performance Management (APM) business.
  • Build a go-to-market strategy for an enterprise solution including other GE products and solutions.
  • Promote and develop APM business with utilities and industrial customers in the region.
  • Leverage GE Grid Solutions experience/capabilities to increase the Digital Services pipeline.
  • Engage early on all grid key deals to promote Digital Services proactively.
  • Negotiate and close complex, high-value deals in alignment with direct sales staff.
  • Communicate, educate, and enable the regional sales team on sales practices and processes.
  • Identify and grow digital APM opportunities by combining current GE portfolio.
  • Establish commercial contracts and agreements with customers to support Service delivery, leveraging global templates.
  • Lead proposal teams to develop innovative solutions benefiting the business and customers.
  • Develop customer-centric solutions to resolve challenges and build long-term relationships.
  • Utilize market data to prepare regional strategies, marketing campaigns, and promote brand awareness.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance in all activities.
Required Qualifications:
  • Over 10 years of experience in SW/electrical expertise & business.
  • Over 10 years of sales and business development experience in the MENAT and SSA region.
  • Over 10 years in Grid Automation, Digital, and Grid Services business.
  • Experience in a similar position with a network in the sector (grid/digital/software solutions).
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; engineering background is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.
