Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mason in a construction setting.
• Strong understanding of masonry principles and techniques related to masonry work.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow specific instructions accurately.
• Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
• Attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
• Excellent teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Build walls, floors, chimneys, arches, and other structures according to blueprints or specific instructions.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning and laying out materials such as bricks or stones.
• Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto the prepared surface using trowels or other tools.
• Use levels and plumb bobs to ensure that structures are straight and level.
• Cut or shape bricks, stones or blocks using chisels or power tools.
• Repair existing masonry structures by replacing damaged bricks or stones.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
