Job summary

Mantis is seeking an Audio-Visual Technician for Hawar Resort to install, operate, and maintain AV systems for meetings, weddings, and events. The role collaborates with Events, Banquets, IT, and Engineering teams and supports VIP events while ensuring safety and high guest service standards.

Requirements include a minimum of 2 years in AV, a relevant qualification, and strong English communication. The position requires flexibility for shifts and events in a luxury resort environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant AV experience in luxury hospitality or high-end events.
• Diploma, certificate or relevant qualification in AV technology or related field preferred.
• Good knowledge of professional audio, video, lighting, projection, LED displays, and AV equipment.

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance and installation of AV equipment to ensure reliable operation.
• Set up, test, operate, and dismantle AV gear for meetings, conferences, weddings, and events.
• Respond promptly to faults, diagnose problems, and perform repairs to minimize disruption.
• Provide professional technical support for VIP guests and events while maintaining guest service.
• Maintain equipment records, report faults, and coordinate with engineering and events teams.
• Store, monitor, and replace AV inventory; ensure safety and compliance during operations.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and internal teams to meet AV requirements on time.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and regular checks to ensure reliability.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Attend training and stay current with AV technologies and practices.
