Job summary

Svitzer Bahrain WLL is seeking personnel to support safe vessel mooring and unmooring operations at KBSP and private Bahrain facilities. You will perform pre-arrival and departure safety checks and assist during routine maintenance while following HSE, QSMS & Security guidelines.

Applicants should be familiar with safe work practices and may have experience in line handling or ship assist operations. The company emphasises diversity, safety, and professional teamwork across its global operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-arrival and pre-departure safety checks at quay side prior to mooring/un-mooring operations.
• Assist vessels during mooring/un-mooring at KBSP and private facilities.
• Support routine vessel maintenance and ensure compliance with company safety and security policies.
• Report any deficiencies or near-misses to Line Handling Shift Supervisor and seek improvements.

Responsible to the Line Handling Shift Supervisor for the safe and efficient operation in assisting vessels mooring/un-mooring at KBSP and other private facilities within the Kingdom of Bahrain. Carry out pre-arrival and pre-departure safety checks at quay side prior to vessel mooring/un-mooring operations and report any deficiencies immediately to Line Handling Shift Supervisor. Work under the guidelines as specified by the Line Handling Shift Supervisor. To provide assistance during routine maintenance on Svitzer Bahrain (S.P.C.) fleet operated vessels. Ensure compliance with company policies in regards to HSE, QSMS & Security. Assist in any other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time, including but not limited to, Maintenance, Pollution Control, General Housekeeping, Etc,. Report all non-conformities, near-misses, hazardous situations to Line Handling Shift Supervisor, and whenever possible make suggestions for improvement.
