Job summary

RetailHub Sourcing seeks a Librarian Assistant to support daily library operations in Al-Malikiyah. You will assist with cataloging, help patrons locate materials, and provide basic reference services while processing memberships and maintaining records.

You will support collection maintenance, create displays, plan programs for all ages, and monitor equipment, reporting issues as needed. This contract role offers visa sponsorship and travel support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor in Library Science is preferred.
• Experience in a library or similar environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic cataloging principles and systems.
• Strong customer service skills with diverse populations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and online databases/search engines.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cataloging and organizing library materials according to established systems.
• Help patrons locate and check out books, magazines, and other materials.
• Provide basic reference services and assist patrons with technology usage.
• Process new library memberships and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with collection maintenance including shelving and weeding.
• Create displays and promotional materials to promote resources and events.
• Assist with planning and implementation of programs for all ages.
• Monitor equipment for maintenance needs and report issues.
