Job summary

InstaCreative India is seeking a Librarian Assistant to support library services at Al-Malikiyah. You will organize materials, assist with cataloging, help patrons, and contribute to programs that engage all ages.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team. It is a full-time on-site position with visa support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field required.
• Previous library experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of cataloging systems and search tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain library materials including books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and electronic resources.
• Assist with cataloging and classifying library materials using appropriate systems.
• Help patrons locate and check out materials and answer basic reference questions.
• Monitor inventory levels of supplies and submit orders when necessary.
• Assist with creating displays to promote library resources and events.
• Perform routine maintenance on library equipment such as computers and printers.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement programs and events for all age groups.
• Assist with collection development by recommending new materials for purchase.
• Keep up-to-date records of library usage statistics.
