Full-time Mathematics Faculty Position

The College of Arts and Science invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Mathematics. Candidates are expected to hold a minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant field obtained from a reputable institution.

Preferences will be given to candidates who have demonstrated excellent skills in teaching at the undergraduate level in both face-to-face and online models. Relevant industry experience will be considered an advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teach up to five courses per semester depending on rank
• Prepare course syllabus, plan lessons and assignments
• Assess students' progress by grading assignments, papers, exams, and other work
• Advise students about course selection and achieving their academic goals
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop or modify curriculum for degree or certificate programs
• Stay informed about changes and innovations in the field
• Attend faculty meetings
• Handle administrative tasks related to teaching and assessment quality assurance
• Write research proposals, papers, and other publications
• Supervise student projects or theses

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of a Master's degree in Mathematics or a related field from a recognized institution is required
• Experience teaching Mathematics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Experience in developing higher education programs in Mathematics or related fields, or industry experience, is preferred
• Preference for candidates with degrees from the United States and higher education experience in the U.S.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with peers, leadership, and external stakeholders, including the business community
• Knowledge and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is preferable
