Job summary

General Assembly seeks an experienced UX design instructor to lead the User Experience Design Immersive course. This full-time, temporary role covers a 10–14 week cohort with travel for qualified candidates and collaboration with an instructional team.

You will teach Monday–Friday, approximately 8 hours per day, prepare lessons, and provide timely feedback. You’ll guide a stellar final project to showcase to hiring managers.

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years of experience in user experience design.
• Fluency in topics: Figma, UX Process, User Research, Personas, Usability Testing, IA.
• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of applicable experience in lieu of a 4-year degree.
• At least 2 years of practical experience within the last five years; 3 years preferred.
• Good moral character and strong decision making abilities.
• Language, mathematics, reasoning, and computer skills for teaching effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Teach and facilitate in class instruction Monday-Friday, for the 10-14 week program.
• Prepare lessons and materials leveraging GA curriculum content.
• Work with co-instructors to provide meaningful feedback on progress.
• Collaborate with GA staff to meet students' learning needs.
• Guide students through development of a stellar final project for hiring managers.
• Foster a dynamic, collaborative classroom community.
• Inspire students to persevere through learning challenges.
