Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a reputable establishment.
• Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
• Ability to create visually appealing desserts with attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders at once while maintaining quality.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with other team members.
• A degree or diploma in culinary arts is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, and other desserts according to recipes and customer orders.
• Create new pastry items that reflect current trends and seasonal ingredients.
• Decorate pastries using various techniques such as icing, glazing, and piping.
• Ensure all baked goods are of high quality, visually appealing, and meet food safety standards.
• Keep track of inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed.
• Train and supervise junior pastry chefs in the kitchen.
• Collaborate with the bakery team to develop new products and menus.
