Lab Assistant Electrical and Electronic Engineering

Position Summary
The Lab Assistant supports the effective delivery of laboratory experiments and technical sessions within the Electrical and Electronic Engineering program. Responsibilities include preparing, maintaining, and organizing lab equipment and materials, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The role involves working closely with faculty and students to facilitate hands-on learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare lab components, kits, and setups for experiments.
2. Assist instructors during practical sessions to ensure smooth operation and safety.
3. Provide technical support to students during lab sessions.
4. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory equipment and tools.
5. Calibrate instruments and ensure proper functioning.
6. Maintain inventory and request replenishments of lab materials.
7. Prepare experiment sheets and manuals under instructor supervision.
8. Keep lab logs and document equipment usage and maintenance.
9. Enforce and monitor compliance with health and safety regulations.
10. Ensure proper disposal of electronic waste and adherence to environmental guidelines.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of industrial experience in a technical or engineering environment.
• Prior experience in an academic lab setting is preferred.
