Job summary

Amana Healthcare Bahrain is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care on the inpatient unit. The role focuses on safe clinical practice, accurate documentation in EMR, multidisciplinary coordination, and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
• Valid Nursing License/Registration from the NHRA or equivalent.
• BLS certification mandatory; ACLS/PALS preferred depending on unit.
• Minimum 3–5 years inpatient/acute-care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and identify patient needs.
• Provide direct nursing care including medication administration, wound care, vital signs monitoring, IV therapy, and patient hygiene.
• Ensure timely response to patient needs, alarms, and changes in condition.
• Maintain infection control standards and follow IPC guidelines.
• Monitor patient progress and document all nursing interventions in EMR/clinical records.
• Report any significant changes in patient condition to the physician or nurse manager promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care conferences.
• Support discharge planning and ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, procedures, and health maintenance.
• Provide emotional support and promote a positive patient experience.
• Adhere to hospital clinical policies, nursing protocols, and regulatory standards (e.g., JCI, NHRA).
• Promote a safe environment by identifying and reporting hazards, incidents, or near misses.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and mandatory training sessions.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information.
• Demonstrate professional conduct aligned with the hospital’s values and code of ethics.
• Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Perform duties assigned by the Nurse Manager in emergency or special situations.
