Expected Qualifications
- 1. Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in any discipline
- Experience in dealing with students in higher education
- Experience in managing student activities and support in higher education
Expected Experience

- Specialization in Psychology/Social Science/Sociology
- Background in social counselling
- Experience in managing student activities and support services in higher education
- Experience in collaborating with industry and community
- Research publication in relevant specialization
Required Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (English & Arabic)

- Manage and collaborate with team
- Ability to create and maintain effective work relationships with staff and students
- Ability to deal effectively with stress and adapt to emerging issues

Roles and Responsibilities
- 4. Roles and Responsibilities:
- 1. Leading the Unit in the day-to-day duties and operation in accordance with Unit’s Scope of Work.
- 2. Implementing University policies and procedures at the Unit and its offices.
- 3. Executing decision of the University Councils.
- 4. Ensuring that Unit’s budget is planned, prepared, implemented and monitored in accordance with University budgeting policy and procedures.
- 5. Developing Unit’s annual operation/action plan.
- 6. Ensuring students’ safety at the University buildings.
- 7. Ensuring consistent provision of services to students and encouraging feedback.
- 8. Coordinating the Unit’s work with academic and administrative staff, students, and external partners to facilitate and support students’ activities.
- 9. Providing students with induction on University academic policies and procedures, in collaboration with Unit of A&R.
- 10. Managing events and extracurricular activities of the students aligned with program aims and University Graduate Attributes.
- 11. Coordinating with program leaders in organizing curricular activities for the students.
- 12. Ensuring provision of services and support to special need students.
- 13. Processing students’ complaints and grievances.
- 14. Proposing enhancement of the student support and services to the senior management as per the suggestions received from feedback survey.
- 15. Collaborating with Unit of A&R for “programs promotion and students’ attraction” events.
- 16. Coordinating work with Unit of A&R for the graduation ceremony.
- 17. Overseeing and coordinating with GU Students Council.
- 18. Overseeing the services provided by the infirmary.
- 19. Overseeing and coordinating with GU Alumni Association.
