Job summary

VINCI Energies Oil & Gas is seeking experienced Fire & Gas Technicians to join its oil & gas team. The role focuses on installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire and gas detection systems across operational and project environments.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Technical Certificate in Instrumentation or Electrical with 3–5 years of relevant experience in fire and gas systems, and familiarity with safety standards (ATEX, IECEx).

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical certificate in instrumentation, electrical, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fire and gas systems within oil & gas or refinery environments.
• Knowledge of fire detection technologies, gas detection principles, and control systems.
• Familiarity with safety standards and hazardous area classifications (ATEX, IECEx).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install fire and gas detection systems, including sensors, detectors, alarms, and control panels.
• Assist in commissioning and functional testing of new systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and calibration of fire and gas detection devices.
• Ensure all equipment operates within manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Diagnose faults in fire and gas systems and carry out corrective actions promptly.
• Replace defective components and restore systems to operational status.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with refinery safety procedures, international standards (e.g., NFPA, API), and local regulations.
• Respond to emergency situations involving fire and gas alarms.
• Support safety audits and participate in hazard analysis activities.

We are seeking experienced Fire & Gas Technicians to join our team in the oil & gas sector.
