Job summary

VINCI Energies Oil & Gas in Bahrain seeks experienced Fire & Gas Technicians to install, commission, and maintain fire and gas detection systems, ensuring high reliability and safety across operations and projects.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, knowledge of ATEX/IECEx, and the ability to read drawings. You will support compliance with NFPA, API standards and local regulations while contributing to safety and efficient plant operation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Instrumentation, Electrical, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in fire and gas systems in oil & gas or refinery environments.
• Knowledge of fire detection technologies, gas detection principles, and control systems.
• Familiarity with safety standards and hazardous area classifications (ATEX, IECEx).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Installation & commissioning of fire and gas detection systems (sensors, detectors, alarms, panels).
• Maintenance & calibration of fire and gas devices; ensure manufacturer specs and safety standards.
• Troubleshooting faults and replacing defective components to restore operation.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests and maintenance activities.
• Compliance with refinery safety procedures and local regulations; support safety audits.
