Job Summary
The Finishing Carpenter will be responsible for the precise finishing of wooden components, fixtures, and fittings in our houseboats and floating structures. This role requires a meticulous eye for detail and the ability to deliver high-quality craftsmanship that aligns with V-Marine’s luxury standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Install and finish wooden components, including cabinets, moldings, doors, and trim.
2. Sand, stain, varnish, and polish surfaces to achieve the desired finish.
3. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and finishing.
4. Conduct quality inspections to ensure all woodwork meets the company’s high standards of craftsmanship.
5. Collaborate with the design and production teams to address any issues or modifications related to woodwork finishing.
6. Operate and maintain woodworking tools and equipment, ensuring proper use and care.
7. Repair or replace damaged wooden elements as needed.
8. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
9. Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high levels of craftsmanship and quality.
10. Work with various materials, including hardwood, softwood, and marine-grade finishes.

Qualifications And Skills

1. Proven experience as a Finishing Carpenter, preferably in luxury construction or marine projects.
2. Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, tools, and materials.
3. Excellent attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.
4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
5. Experience with finishing techniques, including sanding, staining, varnishing, and painting.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to design changes and challenges.
7. Physical ability to handle the demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
8. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
9. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in carpentry.
