Job summary

PPOAR in Manama, Bahrain, is seeking a Surveyor Assistant to join our team. You will support the surveyor in conducting land surveys, analyzing data, and maintaining accurate records. The role involves setting up and operating surveying instruments such as total stations, levels, and GPS equipment.

The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and able to work outdoors. Prior experience is preferred but not required, with familiarity in AutoCAD or GIS considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to understand technical drawings.
• Familiarity with surveying software such as AutoCAD or GIS is an asset.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors for extended periods of time.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data collection.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surveyor with conducting land surveys using various tools and equipment
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of measurements, calculations, and other relevant data
• Conduct research and gather information on properties or areas being surveyed
• Help with setting up and operating surveying instruments such as total stations, levels, and GPS equipment
• Collaborate with the surveyor to ensure project deadlines are met and work is completed efficiently
• Perform basic maintenance on surveying equipment as needed
