Job summary

PwC Middle East is seeking an External Audit Senior Associate to join our Assurance practice. You will work in a team to deliver high-quality audits across clients in the region, applying ISAs and IFRS knowledge.

Responsibilities include testing controls, analyzing financial statements, and managing engagement economics while coaching junior staff. The role emphasizes client relationship building and adherence to risk and independence standards.

Qualifications

• A degree in accounting, finance or related major.
• Pursuing or completed professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, ACA, CPA.
• Progressive experience at Senior Associate level with Big 4 audit clients.
• Experience in banking/insurance clients is an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual Arabic/English a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client financial statements and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Examine financial records and tangible items like inventory or equipment.
• Ask questions to client personnel to gather information.
• Test internal controls and processes.
• Build trust and credibility with clients by delivering high-quality services.
• Research key facts about client industry before engagement.
• Communicate progress to Manager/Partner regarding risks, issues, and variances.
• Own external file completion and engagement economics.
• Review juniors’ work and provide coaching and feedback.
• Ensure adherence to risk, quality and independence standards.
• Engage with diverse teams across planning to completion; meet timelines.
• Contribute to digital initiatives and upskilling; support delivery of assurance.
