Job summary

Bapco Energies is seeking an Engineer - Environmental to implement technical solutions and programs that advance environmental sustainability across operations in Bahrain. You will translate high‑level sustainability goals into measurable actions through data analysis, fieldwork, and cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires a strong engineering foundation, 7+ years in environmental engineering in industry, and knowledge of regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental or chemical engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in environmental engineering or a similar role in industry.
• Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or energy sector preferred.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards.
• Proficiency with data analysis and environmental reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine environmental monitoring and site inspections covering air, water, soil, and other key indicators.
• Lead sampling campaigns, waste audits, and related field activities across facilities.
• Analyze monitoring data to identify trends, non-compliance, or exceedances, and escalate issues for timely corrective action.
• Support environmental permitting by gathering and organizing required technical data for emissions, effluent, and waste-related applications.
• Ensure day-to-day operational compliance with permit conditions and environmental regulations.
• Participate in internal and external audits, provide evidence of compliance, and support corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and data summaries for stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance and Projects to integrate environmental requirements into day-to-day activities.
