Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
• 3+ years of high voltage electrical design experience.
• Knowledge of protective relays installation requirements.
• Ability to learn concepts and technical details of products.
• Ability to work with moderate supervision and own responsibilities.
• Strong writing, documentation and speaking skills.
• Willing to travel as needed.
• Background check satisfactory; negative drug test.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed physical and electrical designs and support job estimates under supervision.
• Prepare CAD drawings and other project documentation.
• Provide design engineering support to project technical leads.
• Complete assigned work within timelines and budgets with high quality.
• Develop knowledge of SEL equipment and solutions for electric power system protection and automation.
• Assist and mentor drafters with technical tasks.
• Develop knowledge of SEL equipment and solutions.
• Use best available processes and tools and provide feedback on process enhancements.
• Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
