Our Client is seeking an Audit Manager, a business-savvy individual with a passion for innovation and the confidence to develop and promote a strategic vision, both internally and externally.

About the Role

Audit services involve reporting on the fairness, in all material respects, of a client's audited financial statements presented in conformity with the applicable financial reporting framework.

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Audit Manager. You will lead on complex audit engagements, manage teams, and support the growth of the Audit practice.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with Partners to define and execute comprehensive audit strategies that adhere to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  2. Personally perform intricate audit procedures and lead teams or sub-teams on client engagements.
  3. Manage the financial aspects of engagements by strategically allocating staffing and proactively communicating any resource concerns to project leaders.
  4. Champion the delivery of exceptional client service by ensuring that the highest quality of work is consistently delivered.
  5. Proactively identify and assess potential risks throughout the audit process, escalating critical issues to the appropriate parties.
  6. Foster a positive learning environment by providing coaching and mentorship opportunities to junior team members.
  7. Contribute to talent acquisition, retention, and training initiatives for Assurance professionals.
  8. Maintain a comprehensive educational program to enhance the personal and professional skills of the audit staff.
  9. Establish, maintain, and strengthen internal and external relationships that contribute to the firm's overall success.
  10. Participate in strategic business development activities to expand the firm's client base.

Required Skills:

  1. Proactive, accountable, and results-driven.
  2. Excellent at managing competing priorities, resources, and communication.
  3. Deep knowledge of current auditing techniques.
  4. Understanding of current and upcoming IFRS.
  5. Proficient in audit tools and data analytics.
  6. Excellent English communication and presentation skills.

Experience:

  1. Minimum 7 years in external audit.
  2. Experience with a Big 4/Big 6 accounting firm is preferred.
  3. Experience with risk-based audit processes.
  4. Project Management experience.
  5. Proven coaching, mentoring, and counseling experience.
