Job summary

A leading tech infrastructure company is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for freelance work in Bahrain. This role supports mission-critical infrastructure at premier data centers and includes performing hardware installations and troubleshooting hardware issues. Candidates should have strong cabling skills, server hardware experience, and the ability to work in raised floor environments. A competitive hourly rate of $20-28 is offered based on experience, and flexibility in scheduling is available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in raised floor environments.
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.

Skills

Cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber)

Hardware troubleshooting

Professional communication skills in English

Education

Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, or similar)

Network certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+)
