Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; crane operation training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience operating different types of cranes in construction or industrial settings.
• Valid crane operator certification/license from an accredited institution.
• Knowledge of load charts and rigging techniques for different types of loads.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights if necessary.
• Good communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of cranes including mobile, tower, and overhead cranes.
• Read and interpret load charts to determine crane capacity and rigging requirements.
• Inspect cranes before use to ensure safe working condition.
• Communicate with ground crew or other operators using hand signals or radios.
• Lift, move, and position heavy materials according to supervisor or project manager instructions.
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust crane operations accordingly.
• Perform routine maintenance on cranes as needed.
• Record all crane activities and maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures at all times.
