The American University of Bahrain is seeking a talented Social Media Content Specialist to manage campus channels and craft engaging content that highlights student life, academic programs, and campus activities.

You will plan content, shoot and edit photos and videos, and stay ahead of social media trends to strengthen the university’s online presence. Past portfolio in photography and video editing is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field is required.
• Professional certification is desirable; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Portfolio of photography, video editing, or social media content is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Manage university social media accounts and develop a monthly content calendar.
• Generate creative ideas for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Stories and other platforms.
• Capture high-quality photos and videos of students, campus life and events.
• Edit short-form videos and publish engaging social content.
• Provide live coverage of events via Instagram Stories and similar formats.
• Monitor trends and identify opportunities to boost engagement.
• Coordinate with Marketing to align content with campaigns and priorities.

Job Overview

Responsible for managing AUBH s social media accounts and creating engaging content that showcases the university student life academic programs and campus activities. The role involves content planning photography video production and keeping up with social media trends to strengthen the university s online presence

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage AUBH s social media accounts and develop a monthly content calendar
• Generate creative content ideas for TikTok Instagram Reels Stories and other platforms
• Capture high-quality photographs and videos of students campus life and university events
• Edit short-form videos and produce engaging social media content
• Create and publish Instagram Stories and provide live coverage of events and activities
• Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to increase engagement
• Coordinate with the Marketing team to align content with campaigns and university priorities

Qualifications and Experience Required

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, or related field. Professional certification in a related field is desirable. Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.

Skills and Competencies Required

• Strong photography skills are a must. Ability to shoot and edit short-form videos using tools such as CapCut or Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Good understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and current social media trends.
• Creative, proactive, and organized, with strong communication skills.
• A portfolio showcasing photography, video editing, or social media content is an advantage.
• Excellent writing and editing skills in Arabic and English.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data.
• Interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently.
