Job summary

Confidential Company in Bahrain is seeking a Chief Accountant to own end-to-end financial control across the group's hospitality and F&B outlets. You will manage multi-entity accounting operations, reconciliations, postings, budgeting, and audit readiness while leading finance teams embedded across all outlets.

The role covers fixed asset control, payroll management, food cost and inventory discipline, VAT/NBR filings, and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Oversee end-to-end financial control across group entities.
• Manage AP, AR, bank, GL for all entities and monthly close.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and strengthen controls.
• Ensure statutory VAT/NBR filings and payroll compliance.
• Oversee fixed assets, inventory, and cost control.
• Manage team leaders embedded across outlets.
• Own the group ERP system and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting across 5 entities including reconciliations.
• Review month-end close per entity and consolidate group performance.
• Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditors.
• Monitor cash flow and treasury management.
• Maintain fixed asset register and physical verification.
• Control food cost and inventory across F&B outlets.
• Ensure payroll processing per entity standards and statutory compliance.
• Lead and develop finance staff across outlets.

• Multi-Entity Operations Reconciliation PostingOwn full accounting operations AP AR bank GL across all 5 entities Review monthly bank supplier intercompany balance sheet reconciliations Ensure accurate timely postings and month-end close per entity Payroll related Management and processing as per each entity standards2 Budgeting Forecasting Management ReportingLead annual budgeting and periodic rolling forecasts per entity Prepare monthly MIS packs and variance analysis for management Consolidate Group-level financial performance and present to leadership 3 Internal External AuditKey contact for auditors across all entities prepare audit schedules Drive timely closure of audit findings and strengthen internal controls Ensure compliance with Group policies and statutory requirements start 4 Cash Flow Treasury ManagementMonitor Group cash position and working capital across entities Manage banking relationships facilities and payment approvals Oversee credit control and AR collections where applicable start 5 Fixed Asset Management RiskMaintain fixed asset register additions disposals depreciation Conduct periodic physical verification and reconcile to register start 6 Food Cost Inventory ControlMonitor food cost across all F B outlets against budgeted targets Oversee stock counts variance analysis and wastage control Partner with purchasing operations to control labor cost and overheads 7 Statutory Compliance PayrollEnsure VAT NBR and other statutory filings are accurate and timely Review payroll journals and ensure WPS labor law compliance Liaise with government regulatory authorities as required start 8 Team Leadership SOPs SystemsSupervise train and develop finance staff embedded across outlets Design and enforce finance SOPs and controls Group-wide Own the accounting ERP system and drive process improvement .
