Job description

A start-up Wholesale Bank with a “digital first” approach is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to design, build, and execute all day-to-day aspects of the project. The vision is to launch a next-generation wholesale bank in the GCC, purpose-built to serve the sophisticated needs of cross-border corporates, fintechs, and high-net-worth individuals through a fully digital platform. With a pipeline of 400+ pre-qualified clients, a greenfield technology stack, and the support of our founders, this is a rare opportunity to help shape a fully licensed, high-growth financial institution from day one.

The CFO will be responsible for the financial strategy, planning, and management of the Bank. As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will oversee all financial operations, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with CBB regulations. The CFO will play a crucial role in driving the financial health and growth of the bank, contributing to strategic decision-making processes.

To be considered for this position you will have 10-15 years of experience in financial management with a strong background in Banking, FS, of Fintechs. You will have proven experience in developing financial strategy, capital management, and risk management whilst working closely with the Chief Compliance Office. You will have strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills and be well versed in managing stakeholders of all levels. You will have an extensive background in treasury management including liquidity, funding, and market risk management. A key factor in this role is the growth element, and so my client is particularly excited to speak with individuals who have experience in a start-up or high-growth environment.
