Job summary

DHL Air (Bahrain) is building a holding pool of Boeing 767 First Officers for near- to medium-term opportunities. Based at Bahrain International Airport, you will fly long- and short-haul international routes linking Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, supporting a mission grounded in safety, service and on-time performance.

As a First Officer, you will assist the Commander with the safe conduct of each flight, maintain CRM standards, follow SOPs, and uphold regulatory requirements while

Qualifications

• ICAO CPL/IR with ATPL theory credit (fATPL) and valid Class 1 Medical.
• English Language Proficiency certificate if not endorsed on the licence.
• Last three pages of your logbook and current CV including operators, aircraft types flown and dates.

Responsibilities

• Act as First Officer on DHL international operations, flying safely and efficiently.
• Assist the Commander with the safe conduct of each flight: confirm airworthiness, servicing, loading, review routes and weather.
• Maintain independent check of aircraft position and terrain clearance; monitor progress and provide timely advice to the Commander.
• Support decision‑making and comply with regulations, company manuals and ATC instructions.
• Take emergency action when PIC during Commander’s absence, including deviations for safety.
• Report safety issues and aircraft serviceability to management and authorities.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of regulations, aircraft systems, and dangerous goods, and brief passengers when applicable.
• Champion CRM and strong crew relationships to achieve on-time performance.

• Act as First Officer on DHL international operations, flying safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Assist the Commander with the safe conduct of each flight: confirm aircraft airworthiness, servicing and loading; review route, terminal procedures, weather and reports; and complete assigned duties per the Company Operations Manual, SOPs and Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Maintain an independent check of aircraft position and terrain clearance; monitor progress and performance; and provide timely, relevant advice to the Commander.
• Support decision‑making and administrative tasks; comply with BCAA regulations, company manuals and ATC instructions.
• Take necessary emergency action when acting as pilot‑in‑command during the Commander's absence, including deviations from normal procedures when required for safety.
• Report and communicate proactively with management, maintenance, flight dispatch and relevant authorities regarding safety issues, aircraft serviceability, impairment, incidents, accidents and other reportable occurrences.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of civil aviation regulations, aircraft systems, procedures and the carriage of dangerous goods; brief passengers/jumpseaters on emergency exits and equipment when applicable.
• Champion exemplary CRM, strong crew relationships and effective decision‑making to achieve high safety and on‑time performance standards.

• Licences & Medical: ICAO CPL/IR with ATPL theoretical knowledge credit (fATPL) and a valid, unrestricted Class 1 Medical (corrective lenses acceptable). English Language Proficiency to the required level (provide certificate if not endorsed on the licence).
• Experience:
  • Minimum 1,500 hours total flight time, and
  • At least 500 hours on either jet aircraft with MTOM > 10 tonnes, or turboprop aircraft with MTOM > 18 tonnes.
• Skills: Strong communication, thorough understanding and continual practice of all CRM components, disciplined SOP mindset and situational awareness.
• Preferred: B757/B767 type rating and prior jet experience; recent time on type is advantageous.

• Complete copy of your flight crew licence (all pages/both sides).
• Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• Last three pages of your logbook.
• Current CV including: current and previous operators, aircraft types flown, hours on current and previous types, date of last flight, and date of last B757/B767 flight (if applicable).
• English Language Proficiency certificate if not endorsed on your licence.
