Arbalett in Belgium seeks an experienced operational manager to lead a busy workshop, guiding supervisors and technicians to deliver on client commitments with safety and cost control.

You will own site KPIs, drive continuous improvement with Lean/5S, and manage local procurement while reporting to the Director of Operations. Fluent English is essential; French/Dutch are valued in this Belgian context.

Qualifications

• Technical degree at least Bac+3 in electromechanics, mechanics, maintenance or industrial engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in workshop management, maintenance or operations in a heavy or complex technical environment.
• Experience leading structured teams of supervisors and technicians.
• Fluent English; French and/or Dutch are valued in Belgium.

Responsabilités

• Lead workshop performance across planning, execution, quality control and invoicing preparation.
• Own site KPIs and report weekly/monthly to management.
• Act as primary liaison for operational and technical matters with clients.
• Drive root-cause analyses, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deploy Lean / 5S and update procedures and work instructions.
• Manage local procurement, supplier relationships and stock levels.
• Coach and develop supervisors and technicians; participate in recruitment and onboarding.
• Oversee workforce planning, leave approvals, and training.
